Francis Bacon
Francis Bacon
One of our greatest and most powerful intellects! He was a philosopher and statesman. He was also the great minister of Queen Elizabeth. His developments of the inductive philosophy revolutionized the future thought of the human race. Bacon saw himself as the inventor of a method which would kindle a light in nature - "a light that would eventually disclose and bring into sight all that is most hidden and secret in the universe." This method involved the collection of data, their judicious interpretation, the carrying out of experiments, thus to learn the secrets of nature by organized observation of its regularities. Bacon's proposals had a powerful influence on the development of science in seventeenth century Europe. (1561-1626)

William Shakespeare
He is recognized as one of literature's greatest influences, very little is actually known about him. What we do know about his life comes from registrar records, court records, wills, marriage certificates and his tombstone. Anecdotes and criticisms by his rivals also speak of the famous playwright and suggest that he was indeed a playwright, dramatist, poet and an actor. Especially Shakespeare's reputation as dramatist and poet actor is unique but many of the facts of his life remain mysterious. (1564 -1616)
