A well-known scientist and inventor, Emanuel Swedenborg is one of the important persons in Swedish history. He was an eccentric visionary and one of the most powerful minds of his age and a world-renowned scholar with great achievements. He was a philosopher, fluent in nine languages, who wrote 150 works in seventeen different sciences. His inventions reveal a man of many talents and skillful expert in numerous crafts.
While his early life comprised of scientific study and discoveries, his later life focused on the spiritual aspects of life, the experience of dreams and visions. Swedenborg believed he was appointed by God to explain to people the meaning of his words.
