– Albert Einstein Quotes –

Try not to become a man of success but rather to become a man of value.
~ Albert Einstein

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I’m not sure about the former.
~ Albert Einstein

Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.
~ Albert Einstein

The human mind is not capable of grasping the Universe. We are like a little child entering a huge library. The walls are covered to the ceilings with books in many different tongues. The child knows that someone must have written these books. It does not know who or how. It does not understand the languages in which they are written. But the child notes a definite plan in the arrangement of the books – a mysterious order which it does not comprehend but only dimly suspects.
~ Albert Einstein

If A equals success, then the formula is: A = X + Y + Z, X is work. Y is play. Z is keep your mouth shut.
~ Albert Einstein

The most beautiful emotion we can experience is the mysterious. It is the power of all true art and science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead. To know that what is impenetrable to us really exists, manifesting itself as the highest wisdom and the most radiant beauty, which our dull faculties can comprehend only in their most primitive forms — this knowledge, this feeling, is at the center of true religiousness. In this sense, and in this sense only, I belong to the rank of devoutly religious men.
~ Albert Einstein

A human being is a part of the whole, called by us Universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest-a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole nature in its beauty.
~ Albert Einstein

Men marry women with the hope they will never change. Women marry men with the hope they will change. Invaribly they are both disappointed.
~ Albert Einstein

Laws alone cannot secure freedom of expression; in order that every man present his views without penalty there must be a spirit of tolerance in the entire population.
~ Albert Einstein

The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.
~ Albert Einstein

Let every man be respected as an individual and no man idolized.
~ Albert Einstein

The difference between what the most and the least learned people know is inexpressibly trivial in relation to that which is unknown.
~ Albert Einstein

Wisdom is not a product of schooling but of the lifelong attempt to acquire it.
~ Albert Einstein

Peace cannot be kept by force. It can only be achieved by understanding.

Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius and a lot of courage, to move in the opposite direction.
~ Albert Einstein

~ Albert Einstein

Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler.
~ Albert Einstein

We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.
~ Albert Einstein

Do not worry about your difficulties in Mathematics. I can assure you mine are still greater.
~ Albert Einstein

My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble mind.
~ Albert Einstein

The whole of science is nothing more than a refinement of everyday thinking.
~ Albert Einstein

Whoever undertakes to set himself up as a judge of Truth and Knowledge is shipwrecked by the laughter of the gods.
~ Albert Einstein

In order to form an immaculate member of a flock of sheep one must, above all, be a sheep.
~ Albert Einstein

Yes, we have to divide up our time like that, between our politics and our equations. But to me our equations are far more important, for politics are only a matter of present concern. A mathematical equation stands forever.
~ Albert Einstein

The further the spiritual evolution of mankind advances, the more certain it seems to me that the path to genuine religiosity does not lie through the fear of life, and the fear of death, and blind faith, but through striving after rational knowledge.
~ Albert Einstein

Now he has departed from this strange world a little ahead of me. That means nothing. People like us, who believe in physics, know that the distinction between past, present, and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion.
~ Albert Einstein

A man’s ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeeded be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death.
~ Albert Einstein

Not everything that counts can be counted, and not everything that can be counted counts.
~ Albert Einstein

~ Albert Einstein

~ Albert Einstein

I have never looked upon ease and happiness as ends in themselves — such an ethical basis I call more proper for a herd of swine. The ideals which have lighted me on my way and time after time given me new courage to face life cheerfully, have been Truth, Goodness, and Beauty.
~ Albert Einstein

Knowledge of what is does not open the door directly to what should be.
~ Albert Einstein

The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination.
~ Albert Einstein

Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence.
~ Albert Einstein

Everything is determined, the beginning as well as the end, by forces over which we have no control. It is determined for the insect, as well as for the star. Human beings, vegetables, or cosmic dust, we all dance to a mysterious tune, intoned in the distance by an invisible pipe
~ Albert Einstein
